On December 1, 2025, we arranged a workshop as part of the InnoVET Plus - Lernfabriken@BeruflicheBildung project at Look 21 in Stuttgart.

The aim of the project is to further develop learning factories at vocational schools as modern, realistic learning environments in order to provide employees and companies with training opportunities for the digital transformation in the future. To this end, various operator models are being developed and tested and specific training courses on digital transformation, sustainability in production and career guidance are being developed. We are also training teaching staff to make optimal use of learning factories in continuing education, networking learning factories with existing continuing education structures and developing a university certificate that professionalizes the use of learning factories in vocational training.

The InnoVET Plus project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education, Families, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMBFSFJ).

During the workshop, we discussed various operator models and their opportunities, limitations and potential. The aim is to jointly develop viable solutions for the sustainable anchoring of learning factories in further education.

As part of the workshop, we worked with discussions on alternative operator models, impulses on existing practical examples and a World Café on the four operator models developed in the context of the project.
