Conditions for successful cooperation between learning venues in the context of digitalization in vocational education and training (LoK-DiBB)

The project aims to identify the conditions for successful cooperation between learning venues (LoK) in dual
vocational training (industrial-technical sector) in the context of digitalization, to take stock of the
and to develop a model for the transfer of findings into educational practice.
to make it usable.
The central thesis of the study is that digitalization in the education sector offers potential for more intensive
cooperation between companies, vocational schools and inter-company training centers on 2 levels - at the level of
content level with regard to digitalization as an educational subject and learning content and at
organizational-communicative level with regard to digital media as a technical (educational) tool
and communication/collaboration platform. The result is a transfer model that provides institutions
institutions and stakeholders in vocational education and training with concrete and tried-and-tested procedures and implementation recommendations
for successful LoK in the context of digitalization.
Firstly, based on the current state of knowledge (including from research and implementation projects)
a reference model is developed for successful LoK in the context of digitalization (e.g. object of cooperation, focus of digitalization, type, form, regularity of interaction/communication,
media orientation). LoK content and activities in selected LoK networks in Baden-Württemberg,
Bavaria and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania are surveyed (qualitative interviews, quantitative (semi-) standardized, app-based diary method). The findings are condensed into implementation scenarios
and their chances of realization evaluated by experts. The result is a
transfer model tested for practical suitability, taking into account the identified conditions for successful LoK
conditions for successful LoK, an action guideline plus online self-check for educational practice, a specialized
publication for academia and the processed research data for further subject-related use.
