Project objective

The aim of the project is to develop a recommendation for action for companies and vocational schools on the implementation of learning factories at vocational schools for continuing vocational training. For this purpose, practical implementation proposals with concrete best practice examples (successful approaches to further training in close cooperation with Allianz I4.0) and a didactic concept for the use of Learning Factories 4.0 in the context of different professions and topics for further vocational training are to be developed.

Process

To this end, the first step is to identify the success factors for the use of Learning Factories 4.0 in continuing vocational training, the political and legal framework conditions and the conditions on the part of the Learning Factories for use in the context of continuing vocational training. This is done on the basis of expert interviews with school principals, the Ministry of Economics and the Ministry of Culture, chambers of industry and commerce and trainers from companies. In the following step, case studies, expert interviews and expert workshops are used to identify the potential of vocational learning factories and learning factories at universities and research institutions for in-company continuing education.

Result

The results brochure is aimed at those responsible for initial and continuing training and works councils in companies as well as political stakeholders with the aim of creating the framework conditions for the successful use of (vocational) learning factories for continuing vocational training. The final report with the "Recommendations for action on the implementation of learning factories for continuing vocational training" can be viewed at https://publikationen.bibliothek.kit.edu/1000162893.
