Mentoring program in engineering education studies - practical introduction for new students

The photo shows three mentors from higher semesters leading the interaction game "The Floating Stick". The mentees - all first-semester students - actively participate and receive immediate feedback. The recording is from one of our regular mentoring sessions at Westhochschule.
Objectives of the mentoring
- Individual coaching: Experienced students give practical tips on learning strategies, timetable organization and campus life.
- Joint reflection: We analyze the start of your studies, identify obstacles and derive concrete measures for improvement.
- Question and answer session: All open questions from mentees are answered in real time.
Significance for your studies
The mentoring program is an official component of the Engineering Education degree program at KIT. It facilitates the transition from school to university life, strengthens peer networking and promotes sustainable learning.
