The current vocational orientation in the school types Werkrealschule/Hauptschule and the vocational schools (2-year vocational school, pre-qualification year for work and occupation, vocational school for pedagogical testing) is to be expanded beyond one-off decisions on vocational orientation and career choice in the direction of active and continuous shaping of the vocational biography.
The "BerufBV" project therefore aims to develop and test a concept that supports pupils at the participating school types in the development of career biographical shaping skills in the career entry phase and promotes these so that they can (better) master status passages and risk situations in the course of their professional lives.
As a follow-up project, "BerufBV" builds on the findings and results of the project "Expansion of vocational orientation in secondary schools: Development and testing of an expanded concept of vocational orientation in secondary schools (BORS) (acronym: BerufReal)" (2013).
