At the Night of Science, Dr. habil. Martin Schwarz showed how much pedagogy there is in the company - and that learning in the company goes far beyond training and seminars.

The contribution was designed as a science slam and worked in rhyme form. This means that individual topics and stands were first introduced with an approx. 7-minute rhyme based on facts and legends and inspired by a fairy tale. This was followed by a maximum of 1 slide illustrating the theoretical and empirical data. In a final step, these aspects were illustrated and enriched with insights and perspectives from practice.

Dr. habil. Martin Schwarz was supported by Anna Priem, an alumna who now works as a training and consulting consultant for a large transport and logistics company.

Here are a few excerpts from the four rhymes:

"...At the center are entirely different terminologies,

which sometimes entail similar aspects,

for example, 'pedagogy in the workplace' is also about learning as an accent,

but the objects relate to a different segment,

adults, groups and entire organizations are the addressees,

with their own learning, change and development paths!

Personnel development and further training are the terms we are familiar with,

learning management and, of course, human resource development."

"...But only because learning takes place in companies - and sometimes a lot of it,

as a place of purpose, it follows a different goal,

working on and changing people,

is not an end in itself for him, but should even be worthwhile,

everything is to be subsumed under the reproduction of the organization,

so that, at best, the company earns more than it loses."

"...Pedagogy happens in the company, indeed a lot and without question,

but the premature view misjudges the initial situation,

it is education in the service of wage labor and capital,

Of course, this can also result in purpose-free education for him,

but not primarily and certainly not above all else!"
